Our Safety Measures

Every parent wants to know that their child is safe at school. At Wisdom Early Education Center we take the necessary precautions to ensure each child remains safe and unharmed while on our premises.

SECURITY

  • Our main door is secured so that only authorized staff and families may enter.
  • We have surveillance cameras in all our classrooms.
  • All our electrical outlets are covered with safety caps.
  • Our backyard is fenced to ensure that children can enjoy outdoor play safely.
  • Our center includes smoke detectors and fire extinguishers.

SANITATION

  • We clean our center daily with safe and non-toxic cleaning products.
  • Cleaning items are locked away and kept out of children’s reach.
  • We encourage children to wash their hands frequently. We use this opportunity to sing songs and teach them lessons on health and hygiene to instill good habits.
  • Diapering is done in an area separate from children’s play areas.

AUTHORIZATIONS

  • Only pre-approved people with photo ID can pick up a child.
  • We require prior notifications from parents when planning for other people to pick up their children.

WELLNESS

  • We assess the health of each child by talking with parents and monitoring for symptoms during the course of the day. We increase evaluations during flu season.
  • We notify parents when a child does not seem well to help prevent the spread of disease.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • All of our teachers are trained in child development, early childhood education or a related field.
  • We conduct background checks to ensure that staff and teachers are trustworthy and able to provide the best care and education for your child.
  • Our staff is trained in first aid and CPR.

MEDICATIONS

  • To ensure safety, we have strict rules for administering medicines to children.
  • We require a doctor’s note for any medication, prescription or over the counter, given to any child to ensure safety.

PLAYGROUNDS

  • Our high-quality playground equipment is safe, sturdy and tested regularly to ensure it is secure and in good working order.
  • Our backyard is fenced to ensure that children can enjoy outdoor play safely.

FOOD

  • All perishable food is refrigerated.
